Mental model ~6 min · ~28 min remaining in this part

A ladder, not a verdict

Visualizing, extracting, and validating are different actions with different evidence.

Operational mental map

Visualise, extract, and validate

A contour answers “where”; extraction answers “how much”; validation asks “is it defensible?”.

Mental model — A ladder, not a verdict

Confidence ladder from solution to engineering decision
Figure 1. Solve, balance, converge, and validate are different tests.

A completed solution may still violate equilibrium. A balanced model may remain mesh-dependent. A converged quantity may still rest on incorrect physical assumptions. M07 does not replace the previous checks; it incorporates them as preconditions.

Quick check

Does a reasonable-looking PLNSOL contour demonstrate validation?
